Sensex Struggles, OMCs Gains As Oil Prices Cool

Asian stocks stepped back from near eight-month highs today. Indian markets struggled in early trade amid subdued Asian stocks. Both Nifty and Sensex traded flat. Wipro's shares roses 1% to 283.50. Wipro on Wednesday said that its board will consider a proposal for buyback of equity shares at its meeting scheduled April 16, 2019. Oil marketing companies Indian Oil, BPCL and HPCL rose 1% as global oil prices cooled today, pressured as US crude stockpiles surged to their highest levels in almost 17 months amid record production and as economic concerns cast doubt overgrowth in demand for fuel.
